It doesn't sound like she spent every moment taking care of others needs. Having raised 1 child and currently working on another I have had to learn that it was important to have blocks of time to myself (2,4,6 hours) just to be and to have time to create. I too am driven to create and lose touch with myself when I don't take time to let my spirit roam free. I felt like I wasn't the best of myself to my family if I didn't take time out for me. Have you ever considered hiring a Mother's Helper for a couple of hours on any given afternoon. They are relativly inexpensive (2-3 dollars an hour) and come over to play with your kids while you go do something else. It has done wonders for me!
